We began this effort with a dream of funding the drilling of a fresh water well in a Kenyan village so people would not have to walk miles to get water but have fresh clean water available in their village. Then the dream grew to two wells in two villages.  The Charles Town, WV Church of Christ, the Central Church of Christ, Martinsburg, WV, Christians For Kenya and other individuals became involved and the dream grew to five wells. We needed  to raise $25,000 to drill five wells.  The total funding raised was almost $26,000 with the extra funds going to Christian Relief Fund well drilling efforts. These wells have been drilled and they provide clean water for a total of 14,700 adults.  One well is located in the village where the Kenya School of Preaching is located.  Another well is located in a village where the church operates an elementary school with some 400 students. I want to commend the Southside church and her elders for taking the lead in this effort. We are also thankful to Christian Relief Fund for providing the well drilling rig and crew as well as a donor who matched our funds.
