Give Wholeheartedly

Offering is an act of worship.

The Church as a responsibility to its members: To meet the practical needs of their members “God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all that there were no needy persons amount them. For from time to time those who owned land or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales and put it at the apostle’s feet, and it was distributed to anyone who had need” (Acts 4:33-35). The money brought to the elders (leaders) of the church, who are responsible for its distribution to those in need.”

The Church has a responsibility to its surrounding community. “As we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers” (Galatians 6:10). This establishes a priority – God’s family first but seek ways to “serve & help” everyone. To Seek and Serve the community, to bring the word of God to world is evangelism (Acts 1:8). This fellowship / church requires contributions to care for the family of believers (local and external), support the community and to evangelize requires the collection of offerings to support the Church’s mission as directed by God.”

“Each should do as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or out of necessity, for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:7
